Mrs. Julie Barton

Mrs. Barton is beginning her 20th year of teaching. She spent her first 12 years as a kindergarten teacher and for the past seven years has moved between second grade and kindergarten. Now she is back in second grade teaching ELAR again. She is very proud to say that all 20 years of her teaching career has been here at ACA...now that's some Griffin Pride!

Mrs. Barton attended the University of North Texas and received her Bachelor's degree in Radio, Television and Film. She also has her EC-4 teaching certificate, as well as her ESL certification.

In her past time, Mrs. Barton loves to go to sporting events and cheer on her favorite teams. Her favorite teams include, The Dallas Stars, Dallas Cowboys and TCU Horned Frogs. Mrs. Barton also has an infatuation with all mascots and she tries to get her picture with as many of them as she can. Victor E. Green (Stars mascot) is by far her favorite of all. Mrs. Barton also enjoys spending time with her husband Andy and her sweet puppy dog Rita. She enjoys reading, going to dinner with her husband, and playing ball with Rita. She also loves to go shopping at outlet malls. She will do just about anything for a great deal!
